Managing Partner
Jill Dempsey
Jill is an investor and operator with more than 20 years of executive experience across private equity, finance, M&A, restructuring, and global operations. She has served as CEO, CFO, and COO in growth-stage ventures and mature enterprises across North America, Europe, Mexico, and the Middle East.
As a partner at Dolphin Capital, a boutique private equity fund with more than $100 million in assets under management, Jill led investment sourcing, diligence, portfolio management, and hands-on operating work. Her experience includes managing more than $500 million in assets through distressed recoveries, strategic transformations, and exits across consumer, real estate, finance, education, and hospitality.
Jill also served as Executive Director of US Friends of AMAR and as an Adjunct Professor of Nonprofit Management at the University of Maryland Global Campus. She brings financial rigor, pattern recognition, and a practical understanding of what it takes to create durable value.

Tasha Bishop
Tasha is an operating executive and organizational architect with more than 25 years of experience building and transforming global businesses. She has led customer, revenue, go-to-market, and operating organizations across startups, high-growth companies, and public enterprises, with responsibility for portfolios ranging from $50 million to more than $1 billion in annual recurring revenue.
Her work centers on turning ambitious strategies into organizations capable of executing them. Across EMEA, APAC, and the Americas, she has rebuilt leadership teams, operating systems, customer ecosystems, and service models serving more than one million users and over 100,000 businesses. Her transformations have strengthened retention, improved operating performance, reduced cost, and created scalable foundations for growth.
Tasha brings an operator’s instinct for people, systems, and execution, paired with a conviction that strong companies should create value well beyond their balance sheets. She also serves as an advisor and board member supporting founders and mission-driven organizations.
Our Origin Story
The partnership started on a rugby field.
Jill and Tasha first met through rugby, Jill as a high school and collegiate athlete, and Tasha as an elite athlete and a national team coach. Together, they helped create opportunities for young women in a sport where few existed.
Years later, after building parallel careers in private equity, finance, global technology, and operational leadership, they reunited to create Cedar Equity. What began as shared work on the field became a partnership grounded in complementary expertise, direct accountability, and a belief that disciplined business building can generate enduring value.
They still bring the same expectations to the work: understand your role, support the people beside you, make the hard decision, and leave the organization stronger than you found it.
